"Dear Mr. Inman, I began by counting the days, then the months. I don't count on anything anymore except the hope that you will return, and the silent fear that in the years since we saw each other, this war, this awful war, will have changed us both beyond all reckoning."

First note

My first project on British Films for Blogger. Cold Mountain was chosen from vast variety available. It's on wounded soldier, Inman who sat his foot in returning Cold Mountain to reunite with his beloved Ada. While the film gave another aspect from Ada, who was left behind from her man along with her father's death, waiting for his uncertainly return. From friends and foes encountered in his return, from torn apart and desperate for a company in her life, all these set foot and end in Cold Mountain. From a well know writer, Charles Frazier, and screenplay by Anthony Minghella.

It's more of Hollywood made production rather British cinema. Having Jude Law and Nicole Kidman as the main magnet for the international audience rather solely British or Europe alone. It's first launced in USA a day before UK. Had won many awards even with tight budget of $79 millions .
